Frayser Man Robbed, Shot in Own Front Yard

A Frayser man is recovering at the hospital after he was robbed and shot by two suspects while he was sitting in his front yard Tuesday night.
MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - A Frayser man is recovering at the hospital after he was robbed and shot by two suspects while he was sitting in his front yard Tuesday night.

Memphis police were called to the 2400-block of Whitney Ave around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16. When they arrived, they found a 56-year-old male victim had been shot in the legs.

Investigators say the man was sitting in a lawn chair in his front yard when he was approached by two suspects asking him for the time. They then demanded his wallet, which the victim threw at them and tried to run away. The suspects shot the victim, and fled the scene in a white Ford Mustang.

The victim was transported to The MED in critical condition, and was later upgraded to stable condition.
