Germantown Police Seek Help Finding Missing Mother, Teacher

No one has seen or heard from 33-year-old Heather Palumbo-Jones since Monday.
GERMANTOWN, TN (abc24.com) - Germantown police have a mystery on their hands. They need help finding a missing mom. No one has seen or heard from 33-year-old Heather Palumbo-Jones since Monday.

Police spent the day searching near her Germantown home. Friends, family and coworkers are praying for a safe return.

Neighbor Karen Goss isn't used to police, K-9s and helicopters searching her neighborhood off Poplar Avenue.

"They're looking for evidence. They were walking the property," Goss tells abc24.com. Officers are searching for any clue to where Palumbo-Jones might be.

More than a dozen cops walked every inch of her yard Wednesday.

The mother and Memphis school teacher hasn't been seen since Monday. She teaches kindergarten at Frayser Elementary School and did not show up for work this week.

Cops say her home was locked and her car in the driveway, but her cell phone, purse and keys are missing.

"I just hope they find her safely, everyone is reunited and they find her quickly," Goss says.

A school spokesperson says Frayser teachers and students are hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.

Goss' church just sent out an email about the missing mother. "It was asking for prayer for this woman because she has small children. That really tugs at my heart because children need their mom," Goss says.
