Grainger Donates $10K to DeSoto Teachers

HERNANDO, Miss. (AP) - The Grainger Foundation has donated $10,000 to the DeSoto County Foundation for Excellence in Education for its teacher grant program.

Officials said in a statement that there are 44 schools in the county with more than 3,000 teachers and 33,000 students.

The grant will provide $500 per teacher. Official say 404 teachers have applied for the grants.

Grainger, part of the Southaven business community for more than nine years, is a supplier of maintenance, repair and operating products.

How encouraging to the teachers who spend soo much time with our children everyday, to get rewarded for their dedication and hard work!! Way to go, Desoto county teachers!!!!
