MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Things are starting to look up for Rick Ricks, who was arrested for carrying a gun into Memphis International Airport after car was hit by a tractor trailer the day before Thanksgiving.

58-year-old Ricks narrowly avoided an out-of-control tractor trailer rig that crashed into a convenience center in Arlington where he had stopped while headed back home to Louisville, Kentucky. Ricks' car wasn't as lucky, so he went to catch a flight at Memphis International later that day.

Security officers at Memphis International Airport found a 9 mm pistol in his suitcase. Ricks told authorities he forgot the gun was in his bag and he was arrested and released after posting a $5,000 bond.

The case was dismissed on Jan. 19th.

He is lucky. Do some research on another obama law he secretly signed into existence, the National Defense Authorization Act. It should scare every American alive. Ron Paul introduced legislation this week to try and repeal parts of the act. Still think obama is an American?

Hope this terrorized citizen was able to recover his stolen property (firearm and cash) from the overreaching bureaucrats that threatened him and interrupted his life - for no good reason....
