Before you start calling these boys brats or accuse them of murder or anything else, you should get the facts straight!!! The facts in this article have been so twisted it has become a fiction story. Put yourself in the place of one of these boys or someone that knows them or better yet...as their parent. How would you react knowing your child wasn't intentionally harming someone and it was only a prank? I think you would act totally different! These boys have learned their lesson from this PRANK!! Nothing harmful could have or would have happened to anyone with this SODA BOTTLE! No hand would have gotten blown off! Get the facts straight before you say someone needs to be thrown in jail for murder...what if it was your son or daughter that played an innocent prank and it got thrown out of proportion...even the teacher thinks this has gone to far. Shows how much any of you know regarding this situation!!

The point of my indicating their histories is to demonstrate that they have never been known to do something out of meanness, and that proves as evidence of this incident being a prank and not an attempt to hurt anyone (WHICH IT DIDN'T).

hhsenglish you are a moron. This was in the VERY least harrassment. Im sure most suicide bombers were good kids who hadnt ever been in trouble before at some point in their life. Point is it shouldnt matter if you havent done wrong before...wrong is still wrong!

So many of the facts in this story are twisted. First of all, it was a Saturday, not a Friday. Secondly, the students have never been in any type of trouble, and most are active in various aspects of school activities: sports, National Honor Society, choirs, etc. The teacher was not wakened by the sound, but was woken up by his high-school-aged daughter, a friend of the students in question. This "bomb" (a SMALL soda bottle filled with foil and toilet bowl cleaner) is no more dangerous when it "explodes" than a balloon popping. And most importantly, this was intended as a harmless prank on a friend, the teacher's daughter; nothing was fueled toward the teacher at all. This matter has been taken beyond the point of ridiculousness, and this teacher as well as his school district need to step down from their perches and quit overly dramatizing the situation.

Calm down folks. It was a freakin soda bottle after all. This is like lighting a bag of poo on fire and ringing the door bell. If they were seriously trying to harm the man, they wouldn't have hung around to get caught.

Home made bomb, throw them in jail and and treat them as a threat against this person.

If they did not intend to hurt someone why did they make the "fake" bomb and ring the doorbell. let the punishment fit the crime and it is to late for mom and dad to bail them out AGAIN
