MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - "Trust us this time." The owner of Mo' Money, now called Marquis Taxes, says government investigations or not, his company is ready to handle your taxes this year.

"Marquis Taxes is just like Mo' Money was despite last year," Marquis Taxes Co-Founder Markey Granberry told abc24.com in an exclusive interview. "We're back doing business like we were previous to last year."

Granberry maintains a software company is to blame for last year's tax mess, where hundreds of customer's tax returns were delayed or reported missing.

Granberry says this year the problem is fixed, and he's returned to the vendor he used for nearly two decades.

"Just getting a fresh new start, getting a fresh new start," Granberry said.

For Granberry, it is back to basics. Instead of franchises in Virginia, Missouri, and Illinois, he's focusing on just one store in Hickory Hill.

"Just building a personal relationship with the customer, where I am personally doing their taxes myself, and using my experience to win them back over," he said.

At that store, you'll find Granberry answering phones and helping customers.

"They'll see me here, I'll personally be greeting them at the door, personally be preparing their taxes," Granberry said.

Granberry has said former Mo' Money locations were bought out, and re-opened as a tax-preparing company called "Southern Kings."

In late April, agents with the Internal Revenue Service raided Mo' Money's headquarters off Millbranch. The IRS has since declined to acknowledge an investigation or provide any update.

Due to delays with the IRS, Granberry said he's providing free tax estimates for now. He is also providing former Mo' Money customers with discounts to make up for last year's problems.

"It was just my season to go through the fire, just my season to go through the fire," he said. ''I am not worried about anything, we'll take it how it comes, take it how it comes."

Now the co-founder of Mo'Money must think that Memphis Tn. got a city of hard working fools. Nobody in their right mind would ever think of letting Mr. Co-founder of Mo'Money look at their taxes not to mention do their taxes. And if any of the people in Memphis Tn. go to any of the business of Mr.Co-founder of Mo'Money-take your lost like the fool you are!
