MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The Delta Regional Authority says officials are scheduled to check on improvements to a key road at a Memphis industrial park.

Delta Regional Authority Federal Co-Chairman Chris Masingill is expected to join Memphis Mayors A C Wharton Jr. and Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell during a visit to the site of the Paul Lowry Road project at Frank C. Pidgeon Industrial Park on Thursday.

Located in south Memphis near the Mississippi River, the industrial park is the site of a new plant belonging to appliance maker Electrolux. Officials say the road improvement also will benefit the Nucor Steel plant and the Canadian National Railroad Intermodal Facility.

The road work is part of a $3 million investment from by the Delta Regional Authority.
