MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - An accused burglar was captured after the homeowner he stole from on October 21, 2011, found his driver's license in a bedroom that had been ransacked.

An affidavit says 33-year-old Jamille Mason was arrested after the burglary victim turned his driver's license over to police. The document says the victim returned to his home and discovered that the glass in the back door had been broken and around $14,000 worth of jewelry and electronics were missing.

As the victim was cleaning up from the burglary, he found Mason's driver's license and called police.

Mason has been charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property.
