NORTH MEMPHIS -- MLGW is issuing a warning for customers in north Memphis. There's a chance some may see brown water coming out of their faucets.

Crews are busy repairing a water line on North Parkway near Decatur Street.

Construction started Tuesday and is planned to last until Sunday, April 14th.

Workers had to shut down the Mallory Pumping Station. Homes using that station are temporarily getting their water from a different one.

If you do see brown, or rusty water, don't worry. An MLGW spokesman tells ABC24.com it is not dangerous. It just means there is extra iron in the water.

Letting your faucet run for about five minutes should take care of the problem.
