MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - A Memphis police officer is officially off the job Thursday.

39-year-old Jason Webb was arrested in July after the FBI said he tried to pick up a prostitute and solicit a minor.

The officer was relieved of duty pending the investigation.

Earlier this week Webb had a hearing with Memphis police. He didn't show.

He was officially terminated, effective immediately. The department cites personal conduct violations.

In July, Webb told Local 24 off camera that he was lonely and called a number from a website. A few hours later a few girls showed up at his door and he decided not to let them in.

He said he apologized and gave them money to leave.

Webb is due back in court at the end of the month.
