MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A man selling counterfeit Justin Bieber t-shirts was arrested outside FedExForum Thursday right before the pop star's concert in Memphis.

Members of the Shelby County Sheriff's ALERT Unit (Area Law Enforcement and Retailers Team) were patrolling the FedExForum for counterfeit tickets and merchandise when they found 43-year-old John Clark approaching concert-goers in line trying to sell t-shirts he was pulling from inside his jacket. According to investigators, Clark was selling the fake merchandise for $20 versus $35 for the official t-shirt sold by valid vendors.

Once he was approached by deputies, Clark agreed to a search of his vehicle where investigators found 36 more fake shirts worth $1,330. The merchandise and $700 cash was seized.

John Clark is charged with Use of a Counterfeit Mark/Logo $1,000 to $10,000. He is being held on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court November 5.

Good grief!m Whatever happened to free enterprise? Anyone idiotic enough to pay $35, or even $20, for a Bieber t-shirt deserves to be ripped off.....leave the boy alone & let him make a few dollars, for crying out loud!
