Mayor's Blue Lights Under Scrutiny by Southaven Residents

Those blue lights on Southaven Mayor Greg Davis' SUV are flashing bright in citizens' minds. Davis was arrested for using the lights when he passed a stopped school bus and pulled over a driver. He'll go to court in May but the question remains: should the lights be removed from the mayor's vehicle?

The blue light thing is a red herring. You'd think he'd kinda be keeping a low profile, but NNOOOOOOO. Again, his judgment is in question. He should do the good folks of Southaven a favor and resign. The sun will still come up the next day.

If you want to be mayor, be the mayor...if you want to be a cop, be a cop. But this guy just seems like he wants to be on a power trip. Its getting harder and harder to find someone trustworthy enough to give power and responsiblity to without them taking complete advantage of it for their own personal joys and gains. I can tell you if was pulled over by him, I would spit in his face. YOU ARE NOT A COP. call 911 like every other citizen.

Why weren't the blue lights removed when Greg Davis bought the SUV? I am sure he requested that they be left on the vehigle. After all, he IS the mayor! For a member of the Board of Alderman to admit that the board did not know he had these lights, well that is really embarrasing. It only proves that they are cluelss! Why weren't the lights removed immediately after they were discovered? It will be interesting to see how the Board reacts to this blue light thing when they meet next Tuesday. The Board members had better be looking for another job.....they are all history!
