MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - You may soon be able to zip through security at Memphis International. The airport has just been added to the TSA's Pre-Check program.

Eligible passengers will head to security checkpoint B at Memphis International after checking in. Once there, you might not have to take off your shoes, your belt or your jacket, or remove your laptop from your bag at security.

Experts say it will not only make screening more efficient, it will also improve security by allowing TSA to focus resources where needed.

Airlines will determine which passengers are eligible.

The program goes into effect April 1.

Oh yes. As of January there were already 35 airports with this program. 4 in Florida alone. I would have assumed that our so-called "hub status" would have gotten us on the list much sooner. Of course I always thought flying out of Memphis should be more economical than anywhere else. Does the word 2nd rate look better as a number or a word? Second rate.
