MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - No food for six straight days. And briefly hospitalized. But a man on a hunger strike says he will not give up his fight for immigration reform.

Patricio Gonzalez has been camped out at the Federal Building downtown since last Wednesday.

His parents brought him to the Mid-South when he was six-years-old.

His visa expired, and he is one of the 11 million undocumented people living in the United States.

He started his hunger strike to put pressure on Congressman Steve Cohen to vote on immigration reform.

After getting checked out at the hospital Monday, Gonzalez rested at his house last night.

He is only drinking water.

He tells Local 24 he hasn't heard from Congressman Cohen.
