Memphis Man Robbed, Shot in Own Driveway

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police are searching for two suspects that robbed and shot a man in his own driveway.

Officers were called to the 1600-block of Jackson Avenue near N Avalon Street just after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29. When they arrived they found victim, a 60-year-old man, shot in the driveway. He was transported to The MED in critical condition, but was later upgraded to non-critical.

Investigators say the man had just arrived home when he was approached by two male suspects in the driveway. The suspects demanded his money and the victim threw his wallet on the ground. The suspects picked up the wallet and shot the victim as they ran from the scene.

Just a couple of hours after the robbery, one of the victim's stolen credit cards was used by a suspect at a Saver Stop convenience store at Jackson Ave and Hollywood. Both suspects are described as black males in their mid-20's about 5'11" with a muscular build.

A 60 year old man, what is wrong with people!!!! Leave people alone, get a job and support yourselves!! Picking on the elderly..No RESPECT, what a shame!!!!
