Memphis Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in Raleigh Neighborhood

A victim was found dead in his vehicle after a shooting in a Raleigh neighborhood early Sunday morning.
MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A victim was found dead in his vehicle after a shooting in a Raleigh neighborhood early Sunday morning.

Memphis police responded to reports of shots fired in the 5000-block of Steuben Drive near Craigmont Middle School around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 12. When they arrived, they found a man slumped over with a gunshot wound in the driver's seat of a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The victim, 23-year-old Simi Girley, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators say a gray vehicle was possibly seen leaving the area right after the shooting. So far there are no suspects in custody.
