MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com)--Memphis police want the public's help catching two suspects wanted for shoplifting laundry detergent from a Memphis Kroger store.

On September 2nd, around 5:40 p.m., Memphis officers responded to 9025 Highway 64 for a felony shoplifting call at Kroger. They were told two suspects put several containers of liquid laundry detergent in a shopping cart and then left the store without paying.

The man and woman were followed out of the store where they were seen throwing the items into a car. Police say the car appeared to be a silver, late model Chevy Impala or Lumina with Tennessee license plate G89-529. Video surveillance cameras were able to capture images of the two before they drove away.

Investigators say the same suspects, along with another female, had shoplifted $600 worth of detergent from the same store the day before. During that theft, they were seen driving a small red compact car.

If you have any information that can help police in this case, call Crime Stoppers at 528-CASH.
