MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - Brew crews are finding Memphis to be a refreshing place. The Wiseacre Brewing Company is now in business, joining several other microbreweries in Memphis.

It's a small set up, but Wiseacre's Kellan Bartosch says but they've got big plans. "The expectations from us are just to be a great brewery. We're committed to making a great quality beer, one that will draw people to Memphis. It's a great beer culture in this city."

Two words you don't hear in the same sentence much is beer and culture, but times have changed. Microbreweries have changed things. Memphis is just getting on the barley bandwagon.

"Here in Memphis for some reason it's just very recently we've started getting that interest," said Jerry Feinstone, the head man of Ghost River Brewery.

While the new brews are bringing some jobs to Memphis, they're also bringing taste to each sip as well. That's what why these breweries are popping up like foam in a glass.

The business is booming. Feinstone says the Ghost River Brewery will expand, soon doubling its size. They can't keep up with the demand.

More microbreweries are expected to come. Memphis water is the best, the brewers say, meaning Memphis beer isn't bad either.
