HENDERSON COUNTY, TN (abc24.com) - Busted. A Mid-South high school soccer coach has been charged with patronizing a prostitute.
32-year-old Adam Comer, a teacher and coach at Riverside High School in Parsons, Tennessee, was arrested by Lexington Police early Monday morning after being caught with a male prostitute.
Captain Jeff Middleton with the Lexington Police Department told abc24.com, "It was obvious to the officer they were engaged in a sexual act, without a doubt."
Middleton said Comer and 26-year-old Lexington resident Ryan Weimar were parked in front of a Lexington business around 2 a.m. on Monday, May 28. The men were spotted by a Lexington police officer and after talking with the two the officer determined an act of prostitution had taken place. Both were arrested and Weimar was charged with prostitution and Comer was charged with patronizing a prostitute.
Parsons resident Laura Flowers told abc24.com she was disappointed in Comer's arrest. "We have had a lot going on in this community and the last thing we need is a Coach to act like that," she said, "I don't want my kids going to school there knowing he could possibly be a teacher there."
Because the crime happened a mile and a half from both a church and a school, the men were charged with Class A misdemeanors. The maximum sentence they can get is 11 months and 29 days.
