Mississippi Reports Two More West Nile Cases

The Mississippi Department of Health confirms two more people are being treated for West Nile.
MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - The Mississippi Department of Health confirms two more people are being treated for West Nile.

The cases are in Hinds and Rankin counties.

That brings the total number of people treated for West Nile in the state to 17 so far this year.

One person has died.

That's far lower than last year.

In 2012, Mississippi had 247 West Nile Virus cases and five deaths.
