MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Mo' Money Tax Service is going on the offensive. The company's co-founder says he's tired of the public beat-down.
Markey Granberry says he's producing a video right now that will set the record straight, but it is another video, shot about a year ago, that could be the latest embarrassment for the embattled tax preparer.
The video appears to have been uploaded to YouTube in March 2011. In the nearly 6-minute clip, Granberry offers a variety of business tips.
"I feel like there is several things you can do to be successful in your business," Granberry tells the camera as he casually leans over a conference table.
"The #1 thing is to be on time," Granberry said. "Be on time."
"He has some big ones, don't he? Real big ones I think," said Mo' Money customer Cheryl Holley.
Holley is still waiting for her refund check after her getting her taxes done at Mo' Money in early February.
"That's hilarious, I think it is really funny," said Holley as she watched the clip.
The Internal Revenue Service and police in Virginia continue to investigate Mo' Money.
Last week, Congressman Steve Cohen and three fellow lawmakers called for congressional hearings involving Mo' Money.
Granberry says he's currently working on a new video that will set the record straight.
