MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - ABC 24 News uncovered the now former Oakland Mayor Scott Ferguson's marriage license to his second wife, 30-year old Miguelina Mora. They were married this past Valentine's Day in Crittenden County Arkansas.

It’s unclear if Ferguson is still married to his first wife. He resigned Monday citing martial problems, acknowledging an affair, and vowed to make things right with his wife. Acting Mayor Chris Goodman says in Ferguson’s resignation letter he’s trying to mend things with his first wife and work things out with his four children.

"I think Ferguson is a Godly man. I hope he gets his family back together,” said a neighbor Ray Still.

There are also questions about misusing city money.

"State comptroller came in today to start looking at books to oversee allegations that were made,” said Goodman.

If Ferguson is guilty of misusing taxpayer money this will be the second mayor involved in public corruption. In 2010, Ferguson's predecessor, Bill Mullins, was forced out of office after he was found guilty of three state charges of misusing city money. That's the reason why some former Memphians moved to Oakland, to escape corrupt politicians.

"I was expecting honesty and country folks. Whew, was I wrong,” said Oakland resident Chuck Kindrick.

"We lived in Memphis before and I always tell people we moved out here to let another set of idiots rule my life, so here we are,” said Still.

ABC 24 News went to Ferguson’s home to get more answers but he wasn’t there. He also did not attend Wednesday night’s special city council meeting. Goodman says it may take months until the internal audit is complete.
