MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A south Memphis man was found guilty of Second Degree Murder in the strangling death of his girlfriend in November 2010.

A jury convicted 25-year-old Richard Dickerson for the death of his girlfriend, Jacklyn Miller. Memphis police located Miller's car at the Willow Creek Apartments after she was reported missing on November 20, 2010; after the car was impounded Miller's body was found in the trunk.

Investigators soon arrested Dickerson, who testified in his trial that he accidentally choked her to death in an argument and left her body in the trunk of her own car. Dickerson was also witnessed leaving Miller's car at the apartment complex.

Richard Dickerson faces up to 60 years in prison without the possibility of parole. He is scheduled to be sentenced on August 23.

Richard Dickerson, the boyfriend of Jacklyn Miller, was charged with her murder.
