MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - The missing vehicle belonging to murder victim Aaron Vasquez was located Wednesday morning near the scene of the crime.

Memphis police were notified around 8:30 a.m. that a green SUV matching the description of the missing vehicle - a 1998 Toyota RAV4 - was parked behind El Toro Loco Restaurant, which is where the 19-year-old employee was fatally stabbed by an unknown suspect while taking out the trash early Saturday morning. Restaurant employees arriving for work were alarmed to see Vasquez's car and notified the managers. Officers had it towed to be processed for evidence.

The SUV had been missing since the murder, and its description was broadcast on local news several times. It is unclear at what point overnight the vehicle was left behind the east Memphis restaurant. Now that the SUV's been towed for processing, those who worked with Vasquez hope police are able to use it for evidence and catch the killer.
