MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - Neighbors are fed up with an eyesore in Cooper-Young.

And fed up, they say, with a Memphis Code Enforcement office not doing its job.

Air conditioners are stacked one on top of the other. There is even a refrigerator and a pick up truck that just sits in the yard.

A tree was knocked down more than two months ago and still lays across the property.

Neighbors we spoke with say they have complained and complained, but the city hasn't done anything to force the property owner to clean the mess up.

"It's even more frustrating when you see code enforcement drive down the street you're thinking yeah, yeah, there they are. They're gonna do something but they roll right on by never even look," resident Cheryl Marty said.

Local 24 tried to contact code enforcement, but they never returned the messages.

Mayor AC Wharton's spokesperson did tell us blighted properties are the responsibility of the owner.
