MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - No charges will be filed for the shooting of a repo man at a Raleigh apartment complex.

Officers were called to a shooting at the Raleigh Village Apartments on Yale Road just after 7 a.m. on Friday, November 9. The shooting victim was found on a nearby residential street and was transported to The MED in critical condition.

Investigators say the 28-year-old victim, an employee with Recovery Solution, saw the vehicle he was sent to repossess sitting unoccupied running in the driveway with the keys in the ignition. When he got in a woman came outside wanting to know what he was doing in the car. The woman then jumped on the hood of the car and started to scream as the man tried to drive away. The woman's husband and his friend heard her screaming and ran outside; the husband then fired at the vehicle, hitting the victim.

Police submitted their evidence to the Attorney General's office, which determined no criminal charges would be filed in the case.
