MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - A Mid-South teen loses his life after a North Panola High School football game.

"Because he came in, I gave him money to go to the game. I love you Mom. I said okay and that was the last time I seen him," said Lachelle Bobo.

Bobo, who raised Roderick, says she was shocked to hear about her nephew being gunned down after a football game.

The 15 year old was leaving North Panola High Friday night when he was shot and killed. Two other people were injured. Family members say they believe the shooting was gang related.

"Don't nobody know what the cause is. Only thing we know every since back here it's gang related. This stuff needs to stop."

According to the Panola County Sheriff's department, the shooting stemmed from two groups of teens who sat near each other during the game. One group left early, waiting for the other after the game.

After gunshots rang out, the 10th grader's body was found lying on the ground near the school's gym. Family members say they want justice and more protection from the school.

"They need to get more security up there at the school before something else like this happen again," said Bobo.
