Hundreds of volunteers were up at the crack of dawn putting Operation Christmas Basket into action on Saturday, December 17th.
They handed out food baskets to more than 4000 Mid-South families at the Cook Convention Center. Operation Christmas Basket began almost 30 years ago. More than $100,00 was raised to fill the baskets. Walmart, Kroger, Kellogg, and the Memphis Grizzlies all donated items for the baskets.
