'Pistol Pete' Pleads Guilty to Child Sex Trafficking

A man known as 'Pistol Pete' pleaded guilty Friday to forcing two teens into prostitution after he fed them pills and promised to take them to a water park.
MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A man known as 'Pistol Pete' pleaded guilty Friday to forcing two teens into prostitution after he fed them pills and promised to take them to a water park.

24-year-old Vincent Jones pleaded guilty in a Memphis federal courtroom Friday, July 6. Jones admitted that he and 18-year-old Kala Bray gave two teens enough Oxycontin and Xanax to incapacitate them, and then lured them to Houston by telling them they were going to a water park.

Once in Houston, Jones and Bray took the teens to a hotel and advertised them for prostitution on backpage.com. The teens were forced to perform sex acts for money in both Houston and Memphis, and were also physically abused. The teens were rescued when one escaped the hotel room and called police.

As part of his plea deal, Jones faces life in prison for a conspiracy charge and all other charges were dropped. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 5.

Kala Bray, 18, entered a similar plea in November and also faces life in prison. Her sentencing hearing is scheduled for August 3.
