Police Arrest U of M Campus Robbery Suspects

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Two suspects accused of a home invasion robbery at a University of Memphis campus apartment are now behind bars.

The robbery occurred at the Carpenter Complex student apartments off Central Avenue around 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18. A female student told officers that two black male suspects broke in to her apartment and demanded her belongings as one suspect pointed a silver handgun at her. She was forced to lie under her bed as the suspects took a laptop, credit cards, clothing, a tote bag and a backpack, according to the police affidavit.

On Wednesday, September 26, Memphis police arrested 20-year-old Brian Burns and 24-year-old Deundre Glover. Both are charged with Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Robbery; they were each booked at the Shelby County Jail on $100,000 bond and are scheduled to appear in court September 28.
