Police Need Help Finding Killer Of Special Needs Teacher

A special needs teacher was found beaten to death, now police are trying to find her killer.
MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - A special needs teacher was found beaten to death, now police are trying to find her killer.

Police were called to the Uiversity Cbana apartment complex around 9:45 Friday morning.

The apartments are located on Oakmont Place in North Memphis.

Distraught family members say Bresha Lewis was found dead in her apartment.

Lewis' aunt said she was a teacher at Idlewild and Bruce Elementary.

“A beautiful person. One of the best people you ever wanted to meet, She had a beautiful spirit. She would help anybody do anything for anybody. He didn't have to do her like that, leave her in there like that,” aunt Rosie Banks said.

Family members say Lewis' car and cell phone are missing.

They say Lewis had a restraining order out against her boyfriend.

Memphis police have not identified any suspects.
