MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - They bring more than $200 million of economic development to the city of Memphis every year, and that's before the playoffs. The Memphis Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Public Policy and Community Affairs, Andre Dean, calls the Grizzlies a "juggernaut for business."

For the last few weeks, business in downtown Memphis has been booming and it's only going to get bigger. Saturday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder begins at 4:00 p.m., which means business will be booming all day and night.

The bright blue "Grizz shot" is the hottest drink at South of Beale on game days. Saturday they're expecting a packed house. Operating partner Brittany Cabigao says they ordered the drink's signature blueberry vodka on Thursday, "We have to order about three bottles to make it through a game." Typically it's one bottle per week.

Blue frosting goes fast at the Corked Carrot on Main Street, where Grizzlies cupcakes and Grizzlies macaroons are their hottest sellers. Sous Chef John Taylor says, "We sell them by the dozen; people come in and buy a few dozen if they have parties."

Aldo's Pizza on Main Street expects a full house all day. Bartender Ashley McEntire says, "We have lots of beer, lots of liquor, lots of wine, lots of dough for the pizza. We are ready to party with them."

Restaurants and bars across downtown are stocked and ready for crazy crowds before, during, and after the game. "We probably have five servers more than we normally would." McEntire says, "There will be two bartenders tomorrow night, the kitchen will be fully staffed, people working doubles after doubles, but everybody's excited about it."

Dean says, "When we get to this level of competition, it's great for our fan base, great for our city, great for tourism, great for development."
