Shelby Co. Health Clinics to Open Saturdays for Immunizations

Several Shelby County public health clinics will be open on select Saturdays to offer immunizations before school is back in session.
MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - Several Shelby County public health clinics will be open on select Saturdays to offer immunizations before school is back in session.

Immunizations are required for children entering childcare facilities, preschool and Pre-K, kindergarten, 7th grade and higher education. Students new to Tennessee also have to show proof of immunizations.

The health department offers the most common vaccinations: diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTaP); hepatitis B (HepB – 3 shot series); polio (OPV or IPV); and measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR).

The following clinics will be open from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, July 27, August 10 and August 24:

School immunizations are also available weekdays (Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at the SCHD main office located at 814 Jefferson Ave.
