SOUTHAVEN, MS (abc24.com) - Southaven Mayor Greg Davis will not have his wages garnished. A judge ruled in favor of the mayor Friday, granting a temporary injunction against the state auditor.

The auditor's office sued Davis last month and tried to take his monthly paychecks. Davis still owes $73,000 from the $170,000 in city money he's accused of improperly spending.

As part of the judge's decision, the mayor will have to put up a $75,000 bond until the lawsuit is resolved.
