Suspect Arrested for Shooting Death, Leaving Body in Trunk

Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting death of a man found in the trunk of his own car near Memphis International Airport.
MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting death of a man found in the trunk of his own car near Memphis International Airport.

Officers found the body in the trunk of a 2001 Mazda Millennium near Goodhaven Drive and Airways Blvd around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2. Investigators say the male victim, later identified as 22-year-old Brian Henderson, had been shot.

Investigators determined the murder occurred on Sunday, December 30, near Airways and Shelby Drive. A person of interest was questioned, and 22-year-old Mykel Nolan admitted to shooting Henderson and leaving his body in the trunk of the victim's car.

Mykel Nolan is charged with Second Degree Murder. He is being held on a $5,000,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court January 11.
