Suspect Charged in Frayser Homicide

A man is behind bars for fatally shooting another man in the chest in the Frayser area on July 1.
MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - A man is behind bars for fatally shooting another man in the chest in the Frayser area on July 1.

Memphis police were called to the 2500-block of Hawkins Mill just before 3 p.m. on Monday, July 1. Investigators say Bandreicus Farmer, 22, was fighting with a man in the driveway when the two bumped chests; Farmer then pulled a gun from his waistband and shot the man in the chest. Farmer fled before police arrived and the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

According to the police affidavit, the entire incident was caught on home video surveillance. Farmer surrendered to police, but refused to give a statement.

Bandreicus Farmer is charged with Second Degree Murder. He is being held at the Shelby County Jail on a $350,000 bond.
