Suspect Wanted in Deadly Orange Mound Shooting

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Memphis police are searching for the person responsible for fatally shooting one victim and critically injuring another.

Officers were called to the 700-block of Carson Street near Carnes and Semmes around 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 25. When they arrived they found a 21-year-old female victim and a 29-yer-old male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The male victim, later identified as Roy Townsel, was pronounced dead on the scene; the female victim was transported to The MED in critical condition.

Investigators have not developed a description of the suspect. Anyone with information on this shooting is urged to call CrimeStoppers at (901) 528-CASH (2274).

R.I.P. Roy I love you and we will miss you You were my fav male cousin We were the same age we grew up together from 5-13yrs old You wont get a chance to experience your 30's.I didnt get a chance to tell you goodbye but you will be missed by your family and close friends as well. Fred
