This boy is correct. It does indeed sound extremely stupid to say "make-up is the biggest part of who I am". What an idiot. At least we have the satisfaction of knowing that he will forever be embarrassed about this once he grows up. This has nothing to do with being gay or straight. It has everything to do with being an idiotic teenager who desperately wants attention. I don't think that painting a loneranger mask on your face is classified as gay.

The saddest part of all of this is that he said the make-up is the biggest part of who he is. Make-up is an adronment and nothing more. It is a mask alike for both women and men. It is all in good fun if you can separate who you are from what you cover-up with. This young man says he came-out, butt he fact that he cannot detach WHO he is from his make-up, tells me he is NOt secure with who he is underneath that make-up.

Older and Missy, Missy is trying to say that we live in a capitalistic society. While the local and state government are "required" to provide an education; the parents have the OPTION to send their kids to a different school, charter-school, private school, home-school, or move to a different school system. The first amendment gives this boy the right to choose and the right to express himself within reasonable terms. If the boy doesn't want to follow the schools rules he should either A) do exactly what he did and stand up for his rights; or B) choose a different option for education. May the Liberal communists begin attacking me. Because, of course, my comments mean I want to destroy the idea of public education.

As a free person, older, I have to say that you totally miss the point. There should be no govt. monopoly schools that would tell parents/students what they have to do. If you don't like what your school is doing, they go somewhere else. It's called the marketplace. You love modern-day education because it allows you to have unlimited amount of kids w/o the responsibility of paying fully for their education! Climb down off your cross and insist that we all should have to pay for the healthcare and education of the siblings we create!! NO EXCEPTIONS!

As a Christian, this breaks my heart to see this lost, mixed up precious boy. Jesus did not preach tolerance (to the commentor who said that). Jesus preached love. In the context of love, we can see that he is a precious soul created in the image of God that needs our love. No one listens to people who are hateful, nor will they want to change if people are critical of them. He needs the prayers of Christian people and only God can change this boy's heart - not us. Scripture is very clear about the sin in this. God created man and woman so we can create families. This is God's closest example of what it means to have a Heavenly Father and we are His children. I am put-off, too, like most people when I see things like this, but that is my "natural man" talking. God's Spirit lives in me and tells me I can love this boy and pray for this boy that his life can be changed. It is this very kind of person that needs to see exemplary behavior from us Christians. That is the only way he ever want to change - by the love he sees in Christians. He is lost and God came to seek and to save the lost. I was lost at one time myself and no better than this boy. The only difference in this young man and me right now is that God has forgiven me of my sins. That is my only claim to righteousness - Jesus. And He's available to this boy and any others who realize their lost estate. All you have to do is ask and He knows our heart whether we are genuine or not. And God is faithful to save us when we are!
