RALEIGH, TN -- Thousands of Mid-Southerners could be one step closer to landing a new gig.

They dressed up in their best interview attire to attend a job fair Tuesday.

The line to get inside stretched all the way around Raleigh United Methodist Church, the host of the job fair.

More than a thousand people walked through the door in just the first hour. Nearly two-dozen companies were on hand looking for new employees.

Those hiring include Comcast, Kroger, FedEx, CVS and several local hospitals. Businesses were handing out information today and collecting resumes.

"I have a biology degree, so I'm looking for something. I've heard LeBonheur is in here and Methodist is. I'm interested to check out see what they're talking about," said Robert Williams.

"I have a couple resumes just going here by faith basically," added Adrian Cook.

The job fair is held twice a year. This was one of the biggest crowds they've seen.
