MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - More than 11,000 people attended the 15th annual Indie Memphis Film Festival this year, shattering the previous attendance record.

The four-day festival, held November 1-4 at Playhouse on the Square, Circuit Playhouse, Studio on the Square and Brooks Museum of Arts, included 39 feature films and 70 shorts.

Festival organizers credit the growth to new features like technology presentations and panel discussions with top executives at companies like Google and Digitas, as well as filmmaker Craig Brewer. Also new was a "48-Hour Hack" with LaunchMemphis, and the festival's award sculptures.
