Trustee Introduces Payment Option For Paying Current/Delinquent Taxes

MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - The Shelby County Trustee has introduced a new “recurring payments” option to its growing array of payment features, Trustee David Lenoir said.

Recurring payments allows property owners to set up periodic payments for both current and/or delinquent County taxes. The taxpayer can choose the date and amount they want deducted from a banking account or credit card.

Users of the service can pay taxes on multiple properties and pay as frequently as they wish. Taxpayers will be emailed receipts.

“Our new payment feature has several benefits,” said Mr. Lenoir. “From a budgeting perspective, this gives taxpayers more control and the ability to better manage their County property tax payments.”

There is no additional service charge to use the recurring payments feature when using a checking or savings account. However, credit card companies will charge a nominal fee for using their services.

To enroll in recurring payments, go to the “Payments” tab on the Trustee’s website, www.shelbycountytrustee.com and click on “Recurring Payments.” A Trustee staff member can help with the process by calling 901-432-4829.
