MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - Two people were killed after a motorcycle accident early Memorial Day morning.
The crash happened at Kirby-Whitten and Reese Road just after 12 a.m. on May 28. Officers stated one motorcycle with two riders was heading northbound on Kirby-Whitten just north of Reese when the driver lost control and crashed into a pole, throwing both of them from the bike.
Paramedics pronounced the driver, 53-year-old David Hopper, and the 41-year-old female passenger dead on the scene. The female victim's name has not been released pending notification of next-of-kin.
