HENNING, TN - Two people gunned down inside a small town post office. A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the killers. Federal investigators have descended on the tiny town of Henning, Tennessee. That's about 45 miles northeast of Memphis. The shooting happened just before nine Monday morning.

“It's unbelievable. It's like a dream. It’s just like it isn’t real. It’s not real,” said Bobbie Fayne, the aunt of one of the victims.

Family members of the two postal workers killed are in disbelief.

“Both of them laying in there, and they aren’t going to let us see her or nothing,” said Fayne.

Fayne says her niece, 33-year-old Paula Robinson was one of the women gunned down. Robinson was married with two young kids.

The other victim is 58-year-old Judy Spray.

“She was a really nice woman,” said friend Crystal Caldwell. “And she would do anything to try to help anybody, and it's really sad.”

Investigators roped off several blocks surrounding the post office. They looked high and low for anything that could help the investigation. Agents swarmed the small brick post office and searched the area around it. Crowds of people watched.

People who live in Henning say the town's seen its share of crime, but never anything like this.

“It's bad,” Caldwell said. “You hear about shootings all the time and crime all the time around Lauderdale County, but not usually at a business.”

Cop cars line blocks, crime scene units were there and helicopters flew overhead.

The FBI, the TBI, US Postal Inspectors, the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office and Henning Police are all involved in the hunt for the killers.

The feds are in charge, and they're staying tight-lipped.

“Who ever would want to rob a… I don't know why they would want to rob,” Fayne said. “I just don't know. Ain’t no money in a post office.”

Julius Smith's cousin works at the post office.

“When I found out somebody got shot and killed down here, I was praying that it wasn't her,” said Smith.

But it's someone else's family left to grieve.

“I don't know what to say. I don't know what to say,” said Fayne. “I just know she's laying in there, and we can't see her or nothing.”

Early Monday, the cops were telling people to be on the lookout for a burgundy car. But now they're backing off that, saying that description was incorrect. They don't have a description of the car. There is a $25,000 reward offered for information in the postal workers' killings. The number to call is 1-800-TBI-FIND.

Henning is a very small town. About a thousand people live there. It's the hometown of "Roots" author Alex Haley.
