Whitehaven Stabbing Leaves 1 Dead, 1 In Jail

MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A stabbing in Whitehaven that killed a man on November 8, 2011, has led to the suspect in the case being locked in jail without bond.

According to court documents, 29-year-old Stevie Gibson is charged with first-degree murder for the stabbing that happened in the 2000 block of Bonnie Drive. The document says Gibson admitted to inviting the victim, Joshua Martin, into his home and then stabbing Martin several times.

When Martin Tried to leave, Gibson continued to stab him until he was dead.

The document says evidence showed Gibson did attempt to dispose of Martin's body.
