BARTLETT, TN (localmemphis.com) - A Bartlett woman was slapped with drug charges when her search for pills ended with police.

According to investigators, 24-year-old Karly Bradley sent out a mass text message around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, looking to buy Xanax. The message went to a Bartlett police officer, who had been in contact with Bradley regarding another case.

The officer replied back to set up the drug sale and Bradley, mistaking the officer for one of her drug dealers, agreed to meet him at the Kroger on Highway 70 at Appling the next day around 3 p.m.

When Bradley showed up to buy the drugs, she was taken into custody by officers. Police also found a used syringe and suboxone, which is used to treat heroin addiction, when they searched her vehicle.

Upon questioning, Bradley told officers she needed the Xanax because she was stressed out from babysitting a relative's infant child.
