MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - A Raleigh mother is accused of driving drunk with not one, not two, not even three, but seven children in her car. 27-year-old Harimony Harris was arrested just before 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Not only was she driving drunk, none of the kids were in car seats. All are under 9 years old, including a baby.

Harris was arrested at the BP gas station at Austin Peay and Coleman Rd. Police got a complaint she left a nearby party and was driving drunk with a car full of kids.

Officers say a one-year-old, 2-year-old twins, two 5-year-olds, a 7-year-old and a 9-year-old were all in her silver Ford Explorer.

The kids were half dressed. There were no car seats in the SUV and none had on seat belts.

According to officers, when they got to the gas station Harris jumped out of the driver's seat and staggered into the back seat, leaving the keys in the ignition and the car running.

Harris' roommate, Angelo Mingo, took the car and kids home.

Mingo wouldn't tell us how many of the kids belonged to Harris, but she said two were hers and defended her friend.

"I'm not gonna talk about her on TV," she says. "I can't tell y'all nothing because I really don't know. I'm not going to talk about it. I don't want to talk about it."

Harris was just arrested last month for violating seat belt laws and driving with children not in a car seat.

She's charged with that again, plus DUI, child endangerment, reckless driving, public intoxication and more.

Harris was booked at the Shelby County Jail on a $3,500 bond.
