MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A woman is charged with murder after the father of her children was found fatally stabbed at their north Memphis home early Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to the 900-block of North McNeil near Vollentine and North Watkins around 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22. When they arrived, they found 22-year-old Gavin Jones on the floor with a stab wound. The victim was taken to The MED where he died a short time later.

Investigators say Jones was fighting with the mother of his children, 25-year-old Alisha Saine, when she grabbed a knife and stabbed him. According to the police affidavit, Jones had pushed Saine into a fireplace when she stabbed him in the chest. Saine then called 911 and was heard in the background saying, "Please don't tell them I stabbed him." The affidavit also states that Saine and Jones have a long history of domestic violence incidents.

Alisha Saine is charged with Second Degree Murder and is being held at the Shelby County Jail on $500,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court August 23.

....And the kids' well-being are put on the back burner of people's emotions, and the children suffer....When will the violence stop & people learn to deal with tough situations, like adults, instead of letting emotions take control and turning into hot-heads with no self control?!?!
