Woman Charged with Movie Piracy for Drink Cup Recordings

A Memphis woman is now out on bond after she was caught at a movie theater recording the film from a camera rigged inside a drink cup.
MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - A Memphis woman is now out on bond after she was caught at a movie theater recording the film from a camera rigged inside a drink cup.

NaKeedia Miller, 38, was seen on Saturday, June 22, at the Collierville Malco Theatre with the hidden camera recording "Monsters University".

Investigators conducted a search of Miller's home, and found nearly 12,000 illegally copied movies, computers and DVD burners.

Miller was arrested and charged with Possession & Sale of Counterfeit Goods over $10,000, Unauthorized Recording of a Motion Picture, and Unlawful Possession of a Recording Device. She has since been released from the Shelby County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
