MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A Memphis woman was arrested after police say she used a taser on her ex-boyfriend and threw kitchen knives at him during a fight.
According to the affidavit of complaint, Memphis police were called to the ex-boyfriend's Frayser apartment on March 12. When they arrived, he told officers that his ex-girlfriend, who is also the mother of their two children, came over to get some of her things. He said they got into a verbal fight in the parking lot when the suspect, 20-year-old Brittany Fitzpatrick, tazed him.
Once back inside his apartment, the victim stated that Fitzpatrick followed him and began throwing kitchen knives at him until he fled his residence. She drove off before police arrived on the scene, but was apprehended when she returned to the apartments while officers were still there on another call.
Brittany Fitzpatrick was charged with Aggravated Assault. She has since been released from the Shelby County Jail on $3,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 14.
