Woman Found Murdered in Southeast Memphis Home

A woman was found murdered in her southeast Memphis home Tuesday afternoon, after a relative notified police she hadn't been heard from in several days.
MEMPHIS, TN (abc24.com) - A woman was found murdered in her southeast Memphis home Tuesday afternoon, after a relative notified police she hadn't been heard from in several days.

Memphis police were called to the 4700-block of Katherine Lane around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2. When they gained entry to the home, they found 56-year-old Debra Redd lying on the bedroom floor. Paramedics pronounced her dead on the scene.

Investigators have ruled Redd's death as a homicide. So far there have been no arrests.
